AN AMAZONIAN JOURNEY SEEN BY A CHILD

The rainforest encircles me. Towering trees touch the sky, its leaves like green blankets reaching as far as I can see. The air is heavy with a flowers and wet earth. A burst of colors appears from the feathers of a bird. I skip through the jungle, my feet bare on the soft ground. I listen for the rustling Landscape of animals hiding amongst the l
